Low Maintenance

So last night after the game (and by "after the game," of course I mean "after 'My Old Kentucky Home'"), as Megan and I were getting ready to leave Rupp, she turned to me and said, "Erin, I need to ask you something," in a very serious tone. I started to get a bit nervous... Then she said, "I read somewhere on your blog, or maybe your facebook where you said you can get ready in 20 minutes. Is that true? Like showering and everything?"
I assured her that this was indeed true, and to prove it to her, I told her I'd time myself this morning and use the lap timer for each part of getting ready. I started the timer as soon as I stepped into the bathroom. Here's how my morning went:
01:38.4-Turn water on for shower, use bathroom, brush teeth (on an aside: I think you're supposed to brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes. Sorry Dr. Hardigree)
04:37.2-Shower
05:57.4-Lotion, contacts, make up
03:13.7-Drying my hair (it's only because I got my dad's fine hair. I guess it's not as bad as I always thought)
02:26.7-Straightening my hair
02:22.2-Getting dressed. This also included finding a shoe that had wedged itself in the back of my closet.
Total time: 20:15.9

I'm actually pretty impressed myself...

This is unimaginable to me. On a morning I don't get up and run before work, I get up at 6:30ish and leave the house at about 8:45ish. I fully admit to dicking around the entire time I get ready including slowly drinking and enjoying coffee and the GMA-Today Show-Early Show-Sportscenter cycle. If I decide to, or have to, run in the morning, I have to get up before 6... lol
